In the shadow of Old Dominion Mountain, where the Kettle River Range meets the Columbia, we make American single malt whiskey the way it should be made: with local barley, proprietary yeast, mountain water, and time.

Twelve years ago, when commercial stills had multi-year waitlists, we built our own. Old Alice, our hand-built copper alembic still, came from both necessity and ability. When you can solve a problem with your own hands, you do. That philosophy defines everything at Dominion.

Single malt whiskey is the ultimate test of a distiller’s craft. Simple ingredients, nothing to hide behind, no shortcuts. Just malted barley from Washington’s Palouse Hills, yeast, pure water, and the patience to let the whiskey become itself inside oak barrels.

The temperate Northwest climate ages our whiskey slowly, deliberately. We bottle only when it’s ready. The result is a mellow, 93 proof, American single malt whiskey with notes of dark toffee, chocolate, hazelnut, and that honeycomb finish that locals call “Mellow Hearts of Gold.” It’s honest whiskey, made by honest hands, in country that doesn’t suffer fools or shortcuts.
